The brief 

WH Goods acquired a warehouse through a SIPP pension with the intention of leasing the unit to a gym owner. To maximise the use and value of the space, the client needed a mezzanine installation that would support the tenant’s growing operation. 

After seeing a nearby Palletower mezzanine installation, the client chose to proceed with a similar solution for their own unit. 

The challenge 

The unit was already operating as a gym, so the mezzanine had to be installed around equipment, members and the day-to-day activity of a busy fitness facility. 

The work needed to be delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to the tenant’s business.

Palletower’s solution 

Palletower planned the installation around the live gym environment, coordinating the work carefully to protect the existing operation. The initial mezzanine was installed over three days, delivering additional usable space without unnecessary interruption. 

As the gym continued to grow, WH Goods returned to Palletower for two further mezzanine extensions. Each phase was designed to build on the existing structure and support the changing needs of the tenant. 

The result 

The project helped WH Goods increase the value and functionality of the unit while supporting the gym’s expansion. The success of the work also generated positive word of mouth on the industrial estate, leading to three additional mezzanine projects nearby.
